Parametric Enclosure Generator for OpenSCAD
The SCAD files, including the example, may be downloaded here.
This is a parametric enclosure generator I made that suits the style of the majority of PCBs I make. Rectangular with a radius. The generator produces two halves which overlap with a lip, has support material for bolts to go into, and cuts out additional space for heat-set threaded inserts for the bolts.
Two modules, “top_half” and “bottom_half” create the two objects according to some global parameters. From that point, it is up to the user to add any features using plain old SCAD commands. See source code for usage.
The columns of supporting material are designed to perfectly sandwich the PCB to hold it in place.
The SCAD files, including the example, may be downloaded here.
The example is actually the enclosure for my most recent geiger counter project at the time of writing. And similarly, at the time of writing, I have not published this project. Coming soon?
